SFDG is proud to mark its fourth recognition at the MIID REKA Design Awards, receiving an Honorary Mention in the Design Excellence Concept Category (Public & Institutional) for Woven: Threads of Tradition and Transition. The conceptual proposal reimagines Pasar Besar Ipoh as a contemporary civic interior rooted in craft, memory, and sustainability. By transforming an underutilised courtyard into a porous, daylit communal heart, the design integrates bamboo screens, natural ventilation, and local textures to support everyday rituals. The project reflects SFDG’s commitment to championing thoughtful design that elevates public life through innovation, cultural continuity, and future-ready spatial strategies.
